Its probably nerves, but I wouldnt take any more/other medication for it.

If you're actually ill, it will probably become evident by morning, and there's nothign you can really do, fingers crossed for you that that's not the case. It sounds like you're a bit wound up and probably are gassy as a result.

I am no expert, but my guess is a cross between nerves and hunger.

I know that feeling of "Oh my, is this a gas pain or is this my appendix/gall bladder/kidneys/liver/stomach/spleen/any other organ between my ribs and my hips!"

As simple as it sounds, just try to go to sleep and I bet you will feel better when you wake up!

Good luck tomorrow!

Its probably just your nerves. I cant tell you to relax, because I remember the night before my surgery...I was a mess! However, THE Garth Davis is doing your surgery...you are going to be in great hands. Good luck to you.

I hope you are asleep by the time I responded to your thread. If you are still awake and reading posts in this forum then...GO TO BED!

It's probably just nerves like others have already said. Good luck tomorrow, or actually later today. I'll be looking forward on hearing how everything went.

I get banded August 1st and I am sure I will be a nervous wreck the night before too. You will be fine once they give you some happy juice.< /p>

I was having the same pain and Just found out that instead of having my lapband surgery on Thursday I now have to have my gall bladder removed. Maybe its just your nerves if its something more they will find out tomorrow anyway. Don't worry , you will be fine just say a prayer!

Good luck with your surgery. Like everyone else has said, It is probably just your nerves. Right before my surgery, I had the same kind of pain and thought, "what a bad time for something to bother me now". I was afraid of having appendicitis or something else, but all turned out fine.

Let us know how it all turns out.

Sincerely,

Stephanie

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
