Mirasmom 0 Posted July 15, 2008  - Hi all, I'm new to this site and am reaching out for support...I was banded in Aug. 2006 and lost 82 lbs my first year. However, to date, I've gained about 25 lbs. There has been quite a bit of stress in my life this last year. And, I've utilized it towards my disadvantage. I had my port replaced in January, due to a leak in the tube. However, it is now somewhat tight, though I'm considering getting one more fill soon. The good news is that I've maintained the same weight since that port replacement (losing and gaining back eight lbs.) I desparately want to get it back together and finally reach for my goal (which is about 40-50 lbs away). Please, I would be grateful for any support that I could receive to help get me back on track. Tell me what you're doing when you go through these, how are you eating, how are you handling stress. Have any of you been able to overcome this kind of relapse? Thanks for reading.

Second ,, you said your band is a little tight yet you want to get another fill ? why is that ? your risking your band beign TOO tight and causing a slip ? Do not get So desperate that you put your band in jeopardy . Slow down , take a deep breathe and you can do this. I do not handle stress well at all. But you just have to take it one day at a time , the weight will come off. Are you walking ? Exercise is a great way to get stress off ? Mindy
Mirasmom 0 Posted July 15, 2008 ...I am excercising 3-4 days a week. Also, regarding my band, it's tight in the AM, but by PM I feel little to no restriction. That's why I'm considering one more small fill. But, perhaps that's not necessary if that's not the problem. Since I've had no one to communicate w/all these months, I'd love to know what kind of meal plans you're all using.
kaninag 35 Posted July 15, 2008 Try to channel handling stress in a different way than eating. Exercise.....what is it that you love to do besides eating...and when you get stressed do that!!! armywife4life 0 Posted July 15, 2008 well for me, im still a newbie but the thing i do most is watch my calories. go to www.thedailyplate.com start logging what you are eating you'll be surprised how many calories your eating and not even know it. calories in your drinks, foods, etc can get out of hand fast. My typical meal right now is: b-carnation instant breakfast, 1 cup skim milk mixed l-yogurt snack-sugar free Jello cup dinner- some kind of Soup I do not eat after 7 pm and try not to snack after dinner. I though am still in the liquid stage so i dont' know how helpful i am being. But you might want to restart the phases, do 7 days liquids, 7 days mushies, then add back solids and see if that doesn't jump start your body for ya. Also their is a great low carb dieters unite thread here in the food and nutrition forum. Good luck, you can do this!!
