missrach 0 Posted July 16, 2008 I thought the same thing, thin! I know I'm still going to enjoy a sweet treat, even if it's not in such a large portion! Thanks for sharing.
Angelyco 0 Posted August 20, 2008 This may sound weird, but lately I loooooove the deserts that come with Healthy Choice frozen dinners. They are always so good and have little bits of oats and such in it (like peach crisp, apple crisp, etc). Yummy! And still part of the 300 calories for the whole meal. glorybee123 0 Posted September 8, 2008 chocolate ECLAIR DESSERT 2 Pks instant french vanilla pudding 3 1/2 cups milk 1 container Cool Whip 1 box graham crackers 1 container chocolate frosting Mix pudding & milk. Stir in Cool Whip. In a 13x9 pan put a layer of graham crackers, half the pudding, another layer of graham crackers, the rest of the pudding and top with another layer of graham crackers. Chill overnight for the crackers to soften and flavors to blend. Top with chocolate frosting after it is throughly chilled. You can make this with sugar free pudding, skim milk and low fat Cool Whip but I don't know a a substitute for the frosting. It is Wonderful!
cmmcguire66 0 Posted September 12, 2008 I have discovered sugar free ice cream recipes, and the other night I actually made sugar free frozen yogurt using Greek yogurt for added protein! There's a lot to read here, but basically, I used plain Greek yogurt, splenda, vanilla and frozen strawberries (kind of one of hte last comments on the blog below.) I didn't have an ice cream maker, but I just used my electric mixer every hour. I am bidding on one on eBay, so I can't wait to make some of the other ideas I found using sugar free pudding, evaporated skim milk, etc. A Frozen Yogurt Recipe to Rival Pinkberry's Recipe - 101 Cookbooks sugar-free Ice Cream Recipes Cooks.com - recipes - Sugar Free Ice Cream
Jachut 487 Posted September 12, 2008 Dessert isnt a daily thing for us, neither of us grew up with it and so we dont do it with our own family. Its more of a thing we do when we have company. So I dont worry about fat free, sugar free etc, when I have dessert, I just enjoy the real thing. Absolute fave? Apple crumble with double cream! mmmmmmm..... PS: is apple crumble an Aussie thing? Like hot apples (similar to pie filling) topped with a mix of brown sugar, butter and oats and baked. I do love a good home made apple pie too.
SueFromMichigan 1 Posted September 13, 2008 Jachut, Here in the US we call it Apple Crisp or Apple Brown Betty. Very good, especially with Cool Whip or Ice Cream on top.
