Just completed phone consultation...now I wait..

Well, I'm on my way.

I just had a brief consultation.

Basically, we just went over my stats and she explained how the appts will work if I'm approved. I will have to go to El Paso 3 times. Once for an entire day to do a nutritional, psychiatric and attend a seminar. After that, I will have to go & meet the surgeon then the last will be for my surgery. I will also have to do follow up appts for my adjustments but that's down the road a bit.

I seem to have all of the factors needed to have this done so I'm hoping for it to go through.

She faxed over a medical release form, and already filled it out & faxed it back. Now I wait...

She said it takes 4 to 6 weeks to get an approval.

I want this so bad. I just need to do something to keep myself busy between now & then. What I SHOULD do is find a way to bring in some money to help pay for this! Any ideas??

I'm going to start taking my blood pressure medication tonight. We'll see how it makes me feel.

RJ is going to be in El Paso this week for work so it's just the kids and me.

I hope this approval process goes quickly. She said after the approval, everything else gets done fairly quickly.

It does go quickly. I had a one day class too, now I am getting my pschych eval next week. I was told that after that I would be scheduled for surgery in 2-4 weeks, so here's looking at August. I have been overweight all my life, I am so ready to do this. God bless you and your journey. Keep us all posted.
