Hey guys, this is going to be in our backyard! (DALLAS) I really want to go. I am in Conroe, if any of you guys are close - want to go, carpool, stay together, let me know, I think it would be a BLAST!

 Sounds interesting....I'm gonna ask the hubby as soon as he gets home to see what he thinks. I'll figure out the cost of everything to see if we can swing it. We live in Beeville...5-6hrs from Dallas.

I can still get the discount if I sign up today so looks like I saw this in time, huh? Thanx for the info, maybe I see ya there! Joanie :o)

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a great event. I am in Waco and plan on attending; only about 2 hours away.

I look forward to meeting you all there.

:frown:I'm not going to afford it afterall. It looks like a great experience, though. I'll keep it in mind, but I doubt we can swing it.

I have found 1 gal here local to carpool with and share the room with. My vehicle comfortably seats 4. So if anyone else wants to carpool with us, that would be great. The rooms are 99$ a night if you stay alone, with one friend or with 3! I already have someone staying with me, but it sure does cut down on costs! Let me know if anyone else wants to carpool with us.

Me too! I haven't gone on a roadtrip in forever - I normally snack the entire trip, I don't know what I will do now!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
