What does everyone do for a living?

To all you Just A Mom! You are doing a very important job out there. When I was little, 95% of women were Just A Mom. Life was sure different. I applaud all the Moms , home or working that make their children a prioirty. I can spot those kids in a minute in my classroom, Special bless to the lady who is a special ed. aide. My grandson, Ryan, 9, has muscualar dystrophy, (Friedrich's Ataxia) ((Awareness day, May 21, ))) has an aide that is like his legs, arms and heart. Also, another bless for your own child who needs you so much. They do teach us, don't they?

Starbright, get this...

when my oldest was in kindergarden, he made friends with Justin. From day one, he and Justin were the best of friends. Whats strange? He and Justin were the ONLY 2 kids (out of 26) that had stay-home-moms.

Now they are in 3rd grade, and yes! they are still best buddies! ;)

On the other hand, ever noticed that Nanny 911 always goes to the houses where Mom stays home?

I am a stay at home mom. Prior to this I was a mental health counselor for adults with mental illness. I was the assistant director of a 36 bed outpatient program. Loved it, miss it. Planning on going back to school when my youngest starts kindergarten - to be a psychiatric nurse.

90% of the time I am a stay-at-home mom to a wonderful almost 4 year old daughter. The other 10% of the time I manage a tattoo studio and I am a body piercer. My baby is starting preschool this year and I will add a few more hours to my work schedule and then next year when she start kindergarten I am going back to school for nursing. (I think) At work I manange 3 artist that act like my almost 4 year old most of the time and I do all of the general shop stuff. I have been in the business almost 10 years and really love it. ~Mandy

Lawyer and mediator. I do estate planning (wills, trusts, etc) and probate litigation (you know, when someone feels Mom loved their sister or brother more than them or can't understand why they were cut out of her will)

Presently I am an embittered girlfriend working as an office manager for her cheating boyfriend.

My past jobs and soon to be new job was as a Bone Marrow Transplant Nurse. I was RN for 8 years in that field. I also did admin jobs at the Nashville VA hospital when they opened up the BMT unit. I set up policies and procedures, did inservices for all ancillary staff, and trained and preceptored all the other nursing staff for the VA BMT unit.

I am looking to get back into the field of nursing so I am job hunting. Anyone know of a good job for a RN out there?

I am also taking classes for my Bachelor of Holistic Nutrition and Doctor of Naturopathy through Clayton College of Natural Health. Hope to have those degrees sometime in 2008 or 2009.

Mother of 4 only one at home. 17 yr old son that graduates next year. He is my baby.

Within the next 2 weeks, I will finish up my career as a software development manager. In June I will begin pastoring a United Methodist Church in a small Texas town, and in August I will begin graduate studies at Southern Methodist Univerisity (in Dallas), which will lead to a Masters of Divinity and, eventually, ordination in the United Methodist Church.

In June, I will also become a single father with residential custody of my two children (10 year old boy, 5 year old girl).

It's going to be a busy few years =)

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
