Has anyone else noticed that a majority of us are in the "caring professions"? I can't help but wonder if that might say something about our personality make-up! (Before I became an attorney, I was both a nurse AND a counselor!)

I am a mother of two, 13 yr.old girl and 8 yr.old boy. I work as a medical assistant in an ob/gyn dept. at a health center for the past 14 yrs. Would love to go back to school for my RN license but just don't have the time right now. Gotta keep an eye on the kids and run a household. Fiance works long hours, so him keeping the kids is out of the question.

Not all of us are "caring professionals", Terri-fic. Personally, I'm a computer consultant with nothing but a completely mercenary approach to my job. I had to earn money to feed my pizza habit.

My DH and I are self-employed. We own and run a Roofing / Siding / Windows business, http://www.holdrenroofing.com/door/ .

I also sold on e-bay for about 5 years but got out of it, at least for a while. I want to get back into it but right now we're busy trying to do some up-dating of our home, which is a pain in the butt. We have 2 adult children who live about 200 miles away from us in Charlotte, NC.

I am a registered nurse. I was a labor and delivery nurse for 6 years. I just recently changed to dialysis ( to get the WLS benefit). Just don't tell my new employers that! No hospital in town insurance pays for WLS. I miss labor and delivery so much! I am a mother of 1 and wish very much to be a stay at home mother! Maybe i can eventually just work part time. I currently work 3 days per week.

I'm a Senior Analyst in Safety Audits and investigations for a major airline. Yep, I never know from one week to the next if I'm still employed. I love what I do though.

I work for a Real Estate Property Management and Investment Company as a...well...JACK OF ALL TRADES. I am officially a Procedures Specialist working with Auditors developing the Sarbanes Oxley Matrices but I have my hands in a little at everything at times. I am currently working towards getting my Real Estate License and then we'll go from there.

In my past life I was a chef working in some of the major hotels and catering companies in downtown Chicago but then my daughter was born and I stayed home with her for 3 years before finally getting the itch to get back to work. My DH works in the hospitality industry as well (that's where we met) and his hours are all over the place so someone had to have the 9-5 job and I got the tail end of the coin. Oh well, Life is FAR from over yet!!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
