Hi everyone,

My name is Anna and have just started the process of getting banded. I have so many questions, many of which I have found answers to in this wonderful forum. The more I read the more questions I develope though. I would love to hear from Wendy in IL. I too, am looking at having Dr. Van Wagner do my surgery. I hope to hear from you soon.

Questions:

- Unitedhealthcare Ins (coverage if bariatric surg is non-contracted)

- Regrets?

- Complications? Etc.,

Hi...I have United Healthcare also. But, it is my secondary. I have my policy thru SWB. I guess ATT now. In case you didnt know one companys UHC policy can be different from another company. So you will need to see what thier criteria is for getting approval. I just found out that to get them to even pay as a secondary I need "5" years of my medical records. So I am at that stage now getting those rounded up. Good Luck

I've done tellemarketing work-- when people I had to call asked me why I would do such a horrid job I explained to them it was the only job I could find where they let me keep my clothes on and I needed to pay for college. This usually worked. Little did they know, just how low my chances of actually even getting one of those take your clothes off jobs was  What I hated the most was the mandated rebuttals. We were required to argue with the people at least two or three times after they no! We all hated that. Most of us would have been fine with one No, and then saying thank you and hanging up. But if we didn't argue, we would get fired! Honest. That and the constant pressure for sales when the product wasn't good or the leads were not good, etc.

So please remember the tellemarketers are not usually mean by choice. One of the nicest things you can do is say "Take me off your list please" Or just say No after they ask and then hang up. I used to think people who did either of those things (as long as they did them nicely) were great. Of course there was the time I reconnected with my oldest friend through telemarketing... true story. Even she wouldn't buy it :faint:

I am the Student Services Coordinator at an international flying school. We train people from Europe to be airline pilots. (NO middle easterners though or persons from countries that have ties to any terrorism.) All our students go through a government screening process before coming to us to train.

Many people want to know why someone would travel to Florida to gain European Pilot Licenses and the answer is really simple: We fly 360 days a year, while weather does not permit this in Europe, and the costs are way cheaper here.

The best part of my job is that I get to meet people from all over: We currently have students from England, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Holland, and many other European countires. And I get to travel to these places occasionally also.

Although I am not a pilot myself, I handle all the day to day school stuff that happens on the ground from sales, embassy paperwork, TSA flying approvals, booking travel and housing accomodations, and instructor scheduling. You name it, I do it!

One of goals after losing my weight is to get a pilot's license myself!!

My husband and I operate a motorcoach bus company. We just started up in May 06. I am able to volunteer at my son's school and I am even thinking about taking some business management classes. Although it's been very challenging, I wouldn't change anything.

I'm a legal secretary and have been since my early 20s. Some days I love it, some days I hate it, but at 51, I'm starting to look forward to retirement. I blame my fat butt on my job! We have birthday cake once a month, lunch brought in all the time, Snacks always laying around...UGH!

I am a part time personal/exec assistant to the most wonderful man - he lets me basically run the show and work whenever I want - I also work part time at a ski resort for a free pass (not the money) and ski almost every day. My guy is a computer consultant so makes the bulk of the money. We've lived this way for almost 5 years. Unfortunately we are going back east this year to traditional jobs - we need the benefits and to make some money. Our plan is to buy some real estate over the next three years and then live in Hawaii for 6 months and Utah for 6 months.

As of July I bought part of my parent's company when they moved to Africa (long story). Therefore, I am part owner (with my sister, and my father who still owns a portion) of a Copy Shop (think mini-Kinkos), a Sign Shop, a UPS Store, and a Xerox Sales Agency. For the most part I co-manage the Copy Shop and run the Sign Shop. I love the work, I adore the business, and I'm even beginning to take some joy in my relations with the customers. Employees, however, are a different story - People Management was never my strong point. I was a Data Consultant for a major telecommunications company before this ... numbers are more my thing.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
