Kathi 0 Posted June 13, 2006 I am the Supervisor of the Animal Control Division for the city that I live in. I have worked here for 18 plus years and love it.... Well, honestly, I LOVE working with animals, but I could do without the people sometimes. We are treated really badly alot. We handle every kind of critter that you can imagine. Never a dull moment. I will be eligable for retirement here when I am 38 years old, so I am considering nursing or radiology for my next phase of life..... we will see. I am also a single momma to 4 kids....18, 13, 8 and 3. I have 3 boys and a tomboy. I am the luckiest person I know.
msbug 0 Posted June 13, 2006 I write book summaries for a library distribution company. I've been doing it for 8 years, and have been lucky enough to work at home for the last 6. Which gives me plenty of time for my second job, Mommy! I have a 6 year old dd and a 3 year old son. My son has lots of health and developmental issues, so we're constantly running to doctors appointments, therapy sessions, etc. I'm so glad I work at home, otherwise I would have had to quit my job because of his issues and needs. I'm hoping to keep working at home till he's in kindergarten in a couple years, then I'll head back into the office if they want me to. My dh does tech support for the same company I work for. Makes my job easy because he just brings home my books everyday for me!

hairagain 0 Posted June 14, 2006 Iam a hairdresser specializing in Hair loss issues for men and women. I have worked for 37 years and am going to retire from this profession on June 29th. Gonna travel for a while and then decide what is next. My husband is disabled. Work injury and he can no longer work because of cronic pain. He has a spinal injury. He worked at our utility company for 30 years too. I am interested in many things but have not as yet focused in on what my next career will be. Flunky maybe??? The ladies I work with are having an open house for me and my clients to Celebrate my 37 years. Some of the clients have been with me most of those years. Will miss them very much. Someone here said just a hairdresser and I want to say I am very proud to have been a hairdresser all these years. I look at it as this, I make people feel better about themselves on a daily bases. What perfession could be better than that!!! Love your hair dressers, They have been under apprietiated for years. I think it is really cool that my clients have become my friends and they PAY me to come and visit. Life is good!! Darlene
