Newbie from Arkansas

Hello

I am new to this forum. I have an appointment on July 16th to meet with the surgeon. I am excited and scared both. I desperately need this surgery. I have a BMI of 42. I so want to be around to watch my grand babies grow up.

I need encouragement and advice on this whole process.

Hi Grammy1! welcome from another newbie....I just posted right before you did. I too am excited but nervous about the whole process. I am pre-op and waiting on insurance approval, which I hear can be sometimes very trying and difficult. I guess I just need to stay positive and looking forward to gaining my health back! Hope to see you around the boards!

I am from the Searcy area, and we have a Dr Gibbs here in Searcy that will be doing my surgery. I have not gotten a date set yet, but hopefully it will be soon.

Hello, I am also new, been lurking for a while. I have been through all of my evals. Just need to do the 3 months of required supervised diet, I am in month 1.5!!! I have learned a lot here both good and bad.
