Redhead1 0 Posted July 9, 2008 Hi 7-9-08 I'm new to all of this. Surgery was 6-30-08. Was a scary decsion. But after much research and talking with many who had it done I did it. I have a 19 year old daughter in College and I don't want to be a fat mom when she gets married. My insurance wouldn't pay for it, so it was a struggle financially, but did it. I The only problem I can really complain about is immediately in recovery I had left shoulder pain, that is still there, it has eased up some, it is the air that they put in your abdomen to see what they are doing sometimes gets trapped and oo is mine been trapped. But it is slightly better today. Diet wise hasn't been bad at all. The first few days everything tasted so sweet, I couldn't handle the bulletts. The things that has worked for me is Isopure Vanila and chocolate and the Necter Fuzzy Navel and sugar free popsicles I'm thankful to find this site and welcome much information and encouragement. My first fill is 7-30-08, which makes me kinda nervous.
OU812 0 Posted July 9, 2008 I was banded on June 26th 2008. I feel great after about the 3rd day i had no pain. I am down 25lbs and saw the doc for my follow up yesterday and he gave me a clean bill of health. I go in on the 22nd of july for my first fill. I am still not hungry and i am having trouble getting in all the liquids. i cant wait until friday i can go to the mushies.. i see a scrambled egg on the horizon. I am using the Protein shots instead of the shakes. i like them better and they contain more Protein for less calories... look them up on the internet "NU Whey" Protein Shots or you can get them at GNC.
