Hi all,

I'm redeeming my gift card for the spa I got on Mother's Day for a spa pedicure and a spa manicure. Does anyone know how much tip to give for each service? This is my first time (and the last for a very long time) so I have no idea what is customary. Thanks!

Hi E.L I would say between 10 and 15%, so if your Pedi costs $50 then between $5 - $10 depending how much you liked the service etc. Also if the owner is doing your service you don't tip -- that goes for hair salons also.

Hope that helps!

Marilyn

Hi:

I would tip $10 for each procedure if they do a good job. Have fun. I just had my first pedicure a few weeks ago. It's nice and relaxing and the massage chair was the best part. My toes look pretty.

Have fun.

Sue

Thanks for the replies ladies!

I had a really relaxing time. It was a very posh spa, expensive sevices, so I tipped a $20. It was an unusally extravagant gift from my husband for mother's day. I should not count on it happening again anytime soon, especially since the surgery loan payments start this month!

Sounds delightful, and I'm going tomorrow for manicure and pedicure. I love having pretty pink toes.

I was banded one year ago, and just wanted to congratulate you on starting a new, healthier life. I have not an ounce of regret- this is the best thing I have ever done for myself. It will be for you too!
