ajpink 0 Posted July 8, 2008 OOOh it's horrid!!! Made myself a 2 egg omelette with a little onion and a couple of slices very thin chicken. Ate about a third when a weird feeling started in my chest. Started feeling queasy so went to the downstairs loo. A couple of PB's came up...then I saw stars and started sweating. And I mean big time sweating. I was so hot I pulled my t shirt off and beads of sweat appeared all over my body. I was beginning to panic and knew I had to keep calm. Breath in through the nose and out through the mough I kept telling myself. Part 2: 15 mins later.... 2 more PB's and heavy breathing. About 20 burbs and a phone call to my friend (who was banded a week before me) later Feel a lot better now.....the omelette is in the bin!! WHat do I do now? Dare I ever try eating food again????? Amanda Warning: Chew and chew and chew....you really wouldn't want this horrble feeling!!
greythope 0 Posted July 8, 2008 eggs sit very funny with me since I had my surgery. I know they're supposed to be one of those high Protein wonder foods and all that but I haven't been able to eat them with the exception of a Breakfast bake I did that had bread at the bottom so they didn't taste to eggy. I think our stomach are fussy at the moment and feeling a bit abused after the surgery. I ate a bit at the weekend and felt like throwing up. I haven't been able to have anything that isn't a comforting food for Breakfast. I have been enjoying oatmeal w/fruit or Protein shakes with fruit.< /p> It really is like that any time of the day so I have been just doing meat or dairy Proteins. Mainly soft boiled on a slice of toast. Last night I went out and had a plateful of caesar salad....no problems either time. I just don't understand ??? Did I read somewhere I should go on full liquids for a couple of days now. Don't want to risk it happening again....it really was awful!!
greythope 0 Posted July 8, 2008 Do you have any nasal/sinus drippage right now? A friend of mine PBed a lot because of all that gunk draining into her tummy. Did the toast get stuck maybe (or did you have toast with this meal?) Maybe your tummy was just upset from last night or breakfast this morning. Got a hangover (LOL!!). I was a bit ill Saturday morning from wine and felt like a real loser. Or maybe your body is sick of eggs?

Didn't have toast today....just a bit of the omelette. Could have been from the salad last night...but have felt fine since. And nope....no hangover...I was on water!!! lol I'm not having omelette again....gonna stick to the boiled eggs....but not for a few days
snuffy65 1 Posted July 8, 2008 I heard eggs go down pretty harsh for alot of bandsters. So, it might be hit or miss for alot of people. Yes, my doctor told me also to go on liquids for two days after major PB's or vomitting. I already PB'ed on some cottage cheese, LOL. I took too big of a bite. I still have to work on eating and drinking slowly and small bites and sips.
Great2BThin 5 Posted July 8, 2008 I've seen lots of people say they have troubles with chicken. Maybe it was the chicken and not the eggs. Had you had a full 2 eggs before? I can' t eat more than one before I get that feeling in my chest that I better stop. Glad you are better now though.

This is the reason my doctor told me to slowoly and indiviually add more items to my solids menu. So its easier to find out exactly what I can and cannot eat. I know, I know, easier said then done. U_go_gurl68 0 Posted July 8, 2008 I am still on full liquids so I don't know if anything I have to add is helpful, but I do know that eggs and chicken make some people pretty gassy and so do fresh vegetables. So maybe you had some gas buildup in your little pouch and it couldn't take the pressure and had to come out. Just a thought. Good luck!!!
armywife4life 0 Posted July 8, 2008 Ouch girl that seriously sucks!! Still on liquids here so no worries about pbing for me just yet

ajpink 0 Posted July 9, 2008 Hiya!! In hindsight I think omelette my have been too dry. Boiled eggs seem to slip down a lot easier! Been gently burping all day long today but feel ok. Had Soup for lunch so taking it very easy today Amanda
