gingersnap 11 Posted July 4, 2008 So I was told that when I get pregnant that I would have to have a high risk OBGYN? Has anyone had that same experience? Is the process any different? What makes a bannder high risk?
juno610 1 Posted July 5, 2008 I do not see a specifically high-risk OBGYN. I think I'm being considered a higher risk patient, but that's because of blood pressure issues.
BandaCat 1 Posted July 6, 2008 I'm currently choosing between a homebirth and a birth center. Neither will accept high risk but they have no problem that I have the Lap Band. They have more concerns with bypass patients because of the history of malnutrition. As long as my pregnancy continues as normal my surgeon says I shouldn't have any worries about becoming high risk.
