Yep,

I keep looking at my manual. I am soooo afraid of eating the wrong thing. My doctor had 3 day clear liquid preop, first week Clear liquids (with Protein drinks) and week 2-4 mushies. I have a postop appt tomorrow at 9AM. I will verify this with the surgeon before I go shopping.

Absolutely! I never tried Wendy's, but I did homemade chili several times. It is awesome on a saltine!

My doctor allowed saltines during mushies. They made the mushy stage for me. Mushies sound a little too much like baby food. Ick. But dip! Well, I can seriously get into dips. :o

Just be careful if you are watching carbs. It's easy to get carried away with the saltines. (I use the multi-grain ones, btw.)

A small Wendy's chili (only eat about half at a time) is my quickie. I love it. I never did blend it, even on the mushie stage I just chewed it well. I really feel in touch with my band and my body, so I kind of know what I can do and can't do and pick up on any signals as I am going.

Wendy's Chili is one of my favorite things to have since being banded. It tastes great...very filling...and at 210 calories and 15 G Protein in a small how can ya beat it! I indulge at least once a week.

I have heard wonderful things about Wendy's chili and I'm not surprised considering all the protien in it. I always laughed at my mom who ate it everytime we went there (while I was eating greasy breaded chicken sandwiches and "super-sized" fries) and since she follows weight watchers I know it's a healthy/low-calorie food choice. I will definately be getting it in the future when I can eat solids

Wendy's chili is one of my favorite things in the world...pre-banding I ate it all the time...but never thought of it as something for the mushy stage!!!

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still have 2 more weeks of liquids but now I have some mushy food to dream of...pureed chicken just wasnt doing it for me

2 WEEKS TILL WENDY'S YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
