2GoodDogs 6 Posted July 2, 2008 I'll be driving myself to the hospital in the morning, and I'll be alone. A friend is going to come when I am post op and moved to my room. I have to spend the night because of the CPAP machine I'm on. My son said he would come as soon as he gets off work tomorrow, and I've arranged for someone to come and feed the dogs and let them out. I want to come home in my van, as it is comfortable, and DS's car is not. My daughter in law will drive his car home when I'm discharged, and he will drive me in my van. The hospital is terrific, and I'm sure I will be well taken care of. A valium would be nice about now though! So, surviving bandsters, if you would please - post your support and good wishes? sisterc 0 Posted July 2, 2008 Hello Better Me! I am so excited for you and your new journey! I wish you the best today and quick recovery in the next few weeks. It looks like you have everything in order just relax and take it easy over the next few weeks. Getting out of bed and getting out of a chair was the tough part for me, but not a lot of pain. Take care of yourself and welcome to the better you!

2GoodDogs 6 Posted July 5, 2008 Thanks. I'm banded and starting to heal. I know that each day I will feel better and better! Your good wishes are appreciated. Going to try a real walk outdoors as soon as the sun comes up. I am so glad that the surgery is done, and healing can begin. Hope my body loves the new band as much as my head does! ssflbelle 829 Posted July 5, 2008 Glad to hear everything went well, including the ability to come back home in your own van. That is an issue I will have to work out when the time comes for my surgery. I need my van as it transport my electric mobility device unless the hospital has a huge wheelchair that they can bring to the door I know of no other way to get into the hospital. I have plenty of time to figure it out as I still don't have a surgery date. Good luck in your journey.
