Have you seen Dr John Coon in Riverside, CA

Recommended Posts

I saw Dr John Coon today in Riverside, CA. He is so thoughtful and really took time to answer my questions and assure my mother. She was so impressed that she is going to be a cash patient and have surgery as soon as she can get a date for surgery with Dr. Coon. My friend from work referred me to Dr Coon. I was first going to see him in Rancho Mirage but because of my insurance I went to Riverside that is actually closer to my home. Dr Coon has 3 offices in the Inland Empire. He not only answered my questioned and explained everything but he tells great jokes and is so kind. His staff was great and they are going to help me get my tests started so I can get approved by my insurance. Everyone was helpful and made me feel that I wasn't just another patient. Really glad I found DR COON:smile2:. Hope to hear from others that have seen Dr Coon.

Dr John Coon did my LapBand surgery the end of April. I have lost 24 pounds and I feel wonderful. I can eat almost anything but I haven't tried steak yet. People are starting to notice the difference and I am so thankful for Dr Coon. He has really helped me get started towards a healthier new life.

I know Dr John Coon has an office in Riverside by Parkview Community Hospital but I saw him at Rancho Specialty in Rancho Cucamonga. I was so impressed. Everyone was so nice. Dr Coon really explains everything and I love the way he always asks about my family and even remebered that my daughter had been sick at my last visit and asked about her. I feel very confident. I am trying to find a way to put a copy of an article I found on Dr Coon in M.D. Net a magazine I found at my PCP's office. The article really let's you know all about his experiened and what a great bariatric doctor Dr Coon is.

Anyone use Dr. Coon that can give me some great information on him? I had surgery already, but am switching doctors. I want someone reliable, honest, and readily available.

I am also interested in everyone's experience with Dr.Coon. I noticed that this post was started last year and I would like to know, now that you are all almost a year away from surgery, would you still recommend him? What was the follow up experience like?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
