Hurting Boobies!

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I know I haven't posted in a long time, but I am having a bit of a problem now with my breasts hurting. I don't know what the problem is. I thought maybe it has to do with weightloss or hormonal changes. I figured I would ask if this has happened to any of you before I go to the doctor. All replies are greatly appreciated.

It's been known to happen...careful of a tubal pregnancy, any other symptoms? First day of your last period? Tender breasts are definately a sign of something hormonal, you you are on the right track, I'd guess. Hmmm, will be glad to ponder if you'll spill the Beans on other symptoms...

I'm not really having other symptoms. Menstrual cycle has always been abnormal, but I have had one since this started. I have been dizzy (lightheaded) a couple of times. I have also lost some hair that was on my belly (below my navel). I take Lexapro. I can't think of anything else that is going on with me. Thanks for the replies and I hope your pondering comes up with something.

I wonder if our PCOS folks have any opinions? But doesn't PCOS cause body/facial hair, not loss of it? Shot in the dark...

Anyone? Might be time to call the Gyno for a check up....don't let too much time go by. Your body is telling you something!

Sometimes I get tremedous breast pain during my cycle, but I figure it is part of the whole stupid PCOS crap. Dunno about the Hair loss though. I have almost no body hair, I believe only facial hair is part of the PCOS

have you been drinking large amounts of caffiene? Caffiene is known to increase the amount of Fiber tissue in fibrocystic breast disease (don't worry, it's not as bad as it sounds). That combined with hormonal stuff can make for some very sore girls!

Desiree, how old are you? From what I'm hearing, peri-menopause is being blamed for all sorts of hormonal symptoms. Women as young as 35 can experience changes that might be attributable to aging.

But I agree, a visit to your GYN is in order if you're worried.

Thanks for everyones reply. Alexandra, I am 35. Pati-o, I have been drinking a whole lot of coffee lately. I drink coffee instead of snacking. I think I will slack off on the caffeine and see if it helps. THANKS!

Well as a resident PCOS professional - I don't think it is the cause of your breast pain. A Gyno visit is best answer. I agree that caffeine might be the culprit - remember that your pouch is much smaller and the jolt from even 4oz. of caffeine can cause all kinds of reactionary impulses from your body. Keep in mind that coffee is a stimulant, and you cannot consume the amount of calories required to offset the effects of large levels of caffeine.

Good idea - ease off the coffee and replace with Water for a few days. Make your Gyno appointment for a week later. If you still have pain you'll know its unrelated to the caffeine and you'll have the DR.'s visit to follow up with. If the pain goes away you'll know the caffeine probably had something to do with it and you can cxl the Dr.'s appt. plus take it easy with the coffee.

I can lift something heavy and it causes my boobs to get very tender. There are lots of tiny blood vessels in the chest area and my doctor told me many years ago they bruise very easily, but you can't see them because they're so tiny. Everytime mine are sore, I will think back and sure enough I've picked up something heavy.

when you are losing weight, your hormones can go wacky -- this is also the cause of why many women had wacky periods after surgery. Hormones can definitely make your breasts tender.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
