kimaly 57 Posted September 15, 2009 (edited) Okay, Queeny..........you can have the title, but I am the princess!I guess that makes me the court Jester!! I think it's the so close but yet so far thing that gets me. I also assume that's why the thread has slowed down so much. alot of us just have nothing to report. I was wondering if you think some of us just get to a certian point and that's where you're just gonna be. I read that the average lapbander loses about 60% of the excess weight and if that's the case I'm a little past that so maybe this is just what it's gonna be. I'm not complaining because I could live with it but I would really like to get rid of the rest so the journey continues. From being on the thread with those that have lost post their goals I notice they are very active. They are religious about exercise and they don't cheat on their food. So, with me.......it's a mental thing. Do you think we ought to start a thread for July Butterfly slow losers? Just to keep in touch. Okay, I am going to the store to get some Tilapia. I love that stuff. Let's all continue to journal our food. If we have a suggestion or a recipe to cut calories and boost protein...........let's share. You are not a jester! You can be a princess too, but I am in line for Queen! lol
1day at a time 2 Posted September 15, 2009 You know what I think? Alot of us that are still around on the board maybe we are all dealing with the same stuff, mental, plateaus, and other issues with life. At least we are all still here talking to each other. crzytchr 3 Posted September 16, 2009 For me, I know that I need to exercise. It is the getting started that is difficult for me. My principal has our school mapped out, and she knows that 6 laps around our school is 1 mile...I have no excuses, I just need to pack a change of clothes and shoes and get off my butt and MOVE!!!! I am certain it will jump start my weight loss. Now, to just DO IT!!!

I do good then fall off again. i can walk around my building where i work on my breaks but I get so caught up on work I don't do it. I need to make myself do it since I hate sitting all day. Come on we can do it. Let's make a pack to get started.
kimaly 57 Posted September 16, 2009 I'm with you, I just can't seem to love the exercise like some people do. I've tried many types so far nothing I really get into except maybe swimming but we're closing our pool down this week now I have to make myself like something else. so I converted the grandbabies play room into an exercise room (well, I'm sharing it with them) Now it's just getting my rear in there and on that dreaded treadmill. shrinknme 0 Posted September 19, 2009 Hey all.. just saying hi.. I still check in with this thread even though my weightloss is on hold. I have about 4 1/2 weeks to go and I feel about as big now as I did with my first right before I had her.. (I guess thats true with the second) anyhow.. I am anxious to get going with the weightloss again.. I probably will start out about where I started when I got the band (weightwise) but thats ok.. the great news is that the band is there!! I have heard that a lot of bandsters do well on Weightwatchers.. so after the baby I am planning on BF so I will do weightwatchers until I am able to get a fill... just so I make sure I am getting enough calories for BF and losing.. I dont want to just sit here and wait.. I want something to tell me how much to eat so I dont overeat thinking I need the extra calories for BF I just want to encourage you all.. plateaus are so normal in weightloss.. ask anyone who has tried to loose a large amount of weight.. banded or not.. your body kinda settles into a size and it just takes serious long consistancy to get over the plateau.. I know tons of friends who are always trying to lose 20-30lbs and they struggle so much.. a particular friend talks about it every time I see her.. but if you ask a trainer or anyone who has done it.. it just takes consistancy over time and you will succeed.. may I suggest getting a personal trainer?? places like the YMCA have them pretty inexpensive.. its just that person who will push you where you wouldnt be willing or able to go on your own.. its interesting.. they always say.. just when we think we cant go on any further.. its about 1/3 of what we are capable of!! crazy... anyhow.. thinking and praying for you guys.. cant wait to join up with you all again even though you are ages ahead of me! crzytchr 3 Posted September 19, 2009 Shrinknme, my friend, who was banded two weeks before me, just had her surprise "band baby" on the 15th. She kept her fill the whole time and is doing great. She is also BF. Be sure to try to let us know when the baby arrives!
