tootie_belle 0 Posted October 5, 2008 Kathy, it sounds like you may have a running buddy. There's nothing like someone standing along side you pushing and encouraging you to go farther. Good luck to both of you.

Kathybad 0 Posted October 6, 2008 I tried something different today. I figured I have progressed enough that I could try running with the dog. So I took her out with me and we ran at a slow pace and I slowed to a walk every few minutes for her. I think she liked it, but it wore her out. She never ran full out, kind of a light jog and I had to encourage her along. But she also didn't stop and pull away, she kept pace and we went for about 30 min, which most was at a run. So I think I have a C25k dog! LOL. I was supposed to rest today, but its so nice outside that I just wanted to go running!
renewedhope 4 Posted October 6, 2008 LOL Whosya, not kicking your a$$ anymore. I better get with it. I knew you'd be checking in so I thought I better behave at least a little. Looks like you are ahead of me know, but never fear girls, I will catch up. Just for you!!
georgia girl 35 Posted October 6, 2008 Ooooo....this should be interesting. Both of you rock!! A little friendly competition is always motivating. BTW, I'm sooo jealous! I want the nike+ system bad. I don't want to waste my shoes though. They are still in good shape. The next ones I buy will be for the nike+ system though. I'm thinking Christmas will be the perfect time.... Bea1128 1 Posted October 6, 2008 Hey guys! It's been a while since I've been on this thread. I kind of wimped out over the summer, but I'm training again. I've dropped my time by 6 minutes, it's still not great, but I'm getting better. I'm running at least 5 days a week now, along with lifting weights and one day of yoga. I feel like I'm really improving which is making me want to do more. I hope to start doing 5K after the first of the year. I've got a lot of work to do to catch up with you guys, but you are all an inspiration! Thanks for the motivation!!
renewedhope 4 Posted October 6, 2008 Glad to see you back Bea!! You are always welcome. Great job on the exercise regimen!! Georgia, I can't wait for you to get a Nike+. We will have so much fun doing the challenges. Don't you wish we could trade those bodybuggs we bought together in on Nike+ now. It seems we have both changed our focus to moving!!!!! How cool is that!!
