SugarBean 0 Posted June 27, 2008 START THE PROCESS NOW!!!! Some insurance companies have a 6 month process and some like mine are much shorter. Get all the leg work done (insurance, ekg, etc..) and you could adjust your surgery time around your trip. If you have your surgery before you could investigate what type of foods you will be eating on your trip. You might have to plan well depending on what diet stage you are on at the time of your trip. Welcome and Best of Luck.
lbevilacqua 0 Posted June 27, 2008 I have Aetna insurance and after 18 months, I finally got my approva and booked a date for surgery. By all means, start the process now and find out what your insurance company requires before you do anything. Like your other reply said, you can always schedule surgery around your trip. Good luck!
