Josie040168 2 Posted June 27, 2008 Hi, I am from Long Island New York and had my first visit with the doctor last week... So far I have scheduled all my needed medical appointments and started a diet on Monday.. My insurance does not require a 6 month diet but just thought it would be best to jump start. I have been heavy since I was a teenager and now I am 40. I recently injured my lower back and part of the reason it is not getting better is because I am over weight. I have dieted in the past and lost but always seem to gain it all back and few extra... So I thought the Lap Band would be a tool for me to lose weight and maintain all my hard work.
