I was banded 3 years ago and things went fairly well for about a year. When I went in for a final fill, nothing would pass through. The doctor sent took everything out, said I had a slip and sent me to the hospital to remove the band. Before the surgery, things opened up and he decided it was not necessary. I went home will no fill and was told to just let it rest for a while and see if it would go back into place. I did and it did. Since February I have been going in periodically for fills (which I could not tell I had even had one) and steadily gaining all the weight I had lost. Last week I went in for another fill and it seemed uneventful, but I could finally tell that I had had a fill. Sunday I started having pain if I ate anything. I have had nothing but soft (baby food) foods and am still having pain after 2-3 bites. Also, yesterday I started having some acid reflux.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? I'm thinking to try to wait several days and see if things won't settle down before calling the doctor. The good news is I certainly won't be eating anything right now.

Any insight that may be offered will be appreciated.

My acid reflux was a sign to my doctor that I needed to be re-banded. My journey has been a long, but fulfilling one. Don't get down, but do please call your doctor.
