PB is a very unpleasant thing that stands for basicly burping up something you shouldnt have eaten or ate too fast-it is painful and not nice at all-It happenede with me a piece of pork chop.PB=productive belching.very much like a cat coughing up a hairball.ugh

Chloe, I know how hard it is to not get discouraged. 26 lbs since Feb 23rd is fantastic! Ask yourself would you have lost 23 lbs in this ammount of time without the band?

ALso you got to remember that you have no Fluid in your band, the band is designed to works it's best when there is Fluid in it. An empty band , of course you will see old habits creeping back in, once you start getting your fills you should notice a huge difference. Please do not be let down if you do not notice tons of restriction after just one fill, if it is done in the US, the US doctors tend to be less agressive on their fills then docs in Mexico. It may take 1-3 fills before you notice a huge difference, just remember to eat Protein first, drink lots of Water, chew your food real good and take small bites. I was told during pre fill stage that any weight loss during this time is a bonus. You are not a faliure, you just have no fill, it does get better. Hang in there and pleaselet us know how it goes next week when you get your first fill :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
