Dear Friends,

I posted this question a few months ago to see if anyone had used Dr. Ross and the staff at Spartanburg Regional Hospital System. I never received any replies, so I chose Dr. Ross and his team. I am so glade that I did; he has the best bedside manner of any physician that I have ever dealt with. In my short life, I have seen many. You can tell that he truly enjoys what he does; he is not someone that is just getting paid and goes home. His staff are always polite and on top of things. I allowed him to complete my Lapband surgery on 07/15/2008, and will start my follow up visits starting next week. If you are looking for someone that will treat you with respect, and dignity, no matter what your circumstances, then you don't need to look any further than Dr. Paul Ross. If you would like to reach Dr. Ross, call his office at 864-560-7070. If you have any questions about my experience so far, just send me an email, and I will be more than happy to respond.

God bless you,

Randall Logan Price:thumbup:

Banded by Dr. Paul Ross at SRHS on 07/15/2008.

1st Post Op visit is 07/23/2008.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
