I've spent the past three weeks alternatingly barfing up good food, going on a liquid diet to quiet the stomach, then barfing up good food again. I've barfed up watermelon twice, so I guess I'm going to have to start blending it. But then I can eat a whole load of cheetos! arghh

I have decided there's no rhyme or reason for what the band does Linda. The question is are you too tight? You don't want to end up with problems down the track.

You can always hijack....I love reading your posts. You know, someday I am going to your country...I have always wanted to go to Australia...but I am also the one that wants to go to the Antartica...my husband said that I go by myself because that is to cold for him. LOL! But Australia...I would love that.

Hey Cindy & Cindy, sounds like a plan to me !! I already did the USA / Mexico trip 2 years ago so Australia sounds like the way to go. Definitely no Antartica for me either !! :biggrin2: I've never been to the Great Barrier Reef so it will be 2 new things for all of us, 1. the trip, 2. wearing the bikinis !! It's been at least 30 years since I last wore a bikini ! :)

No, I don't think I am. There was just such a long period of time where I could eat large quantities, and now I've finally reached a point where the band is actually working so I have to reign my quantities in, and I also have to admit that I really can't eat certain foods without them getting stuck. So I end up aggravating my stomach with barfing up the wrong choices, then spend a few days in liquid recovery. I've just got to get my head around it again. I'm learning but I'm very stubborn! :tt1:

Good to know Linda because regular barfing can lead to a slip. I know what you mean about having to get used to eating less and foods you love. I always get stuck on scrambled eggs with bread but I can't seem to give them up. I only eat them once in a while though. I need to learn to eat small portions again. I may not have full restriction but I'm not hungry most of the time so a small amount should be enough. Head hunger is still the hardest battle for me.

It's funny because I'm not that big on hot weather but the antarctic just doesn't do it for me, fat or skinny !!)

Are you cold now too? I used to always be so hot - even in Canada in the winter. I used to sleep neked! Now I live in Arkansas and sometimes I get chilly in the summer! Can you believe it? :w00t:

Know what you mean Linda....We have central AC and last year I used have to keep it at 68-70 because I was always so hot...my family be be freezing and me sitting there sweating...now I am always saying, "Can someone bump up the AC to 74." Funny how losing weight changes the internal thermostat.

I have been in the friggin Water exercising the dang Cookies off.

I did two Water aerobics classes today. You know how proud of myself I am. I could have never done that before but I love water aerobics a lot. I never thought that I would like to exercise as much as I do now. I know that the exercise is going to be the key to getting the rest off. I am seeing the benefits because the sizes are dropping. I have gone from a size 32/34 to a size 20 and tonight I put on a 10 year old Garth Brooks T-Shirt my brother brought me when he saw him in concert...it was a XL...woo-hoo!

I want all of you to take a look at some your NSV's for a moment. Even though the scale might not be moving as quickly you would like, think about some things that have changed for you. How are you clothes fitting? Can you do things that you couldn't do in the past? How do you feel? I am sure that you have some wonderful things to ponder on. So forget the scale and think about the great accomplishments that you have made. I know that I am proud of you all! You are all great inspirations to me....you'll never know how much. Ok...enough of the mushy gushy stuff...lol! Think positive thoughts!

Cindy

I'm still catching up on old posts, and I have been beating myself up over really not losing much in the past 2 months, BUT I have gone down to a size 10-12 in most pants and I am buying size L shirts. My new bathing suits I bought for cancun were 12s from the JR's dept,I also bought some cute sundresses from Pacsun and Tillies, in size L JR's.....

Last July when we went camping I was wearing a size 2X very tight bathing suit. size 22 jeans and 2X shirts that really were too tight. 2 years ago when we went to cancun I just about died from the humitity, I didn't want to do or go anywhere other then the pool or hotel room. This trip I wanted to do everything, the heat really didn't bother me that much. and when we went horseback riding I didnt feel like the horse was going to pass out when I got on him. :smile2:

So I guess after writing this and realizing that pounds aren't the opnly thing that matters I wont beat myself up anymore...

Great job everyone!!!

OK now I am off to do a swim...

Shalee, that is just excellent and very motivating! You're losing at a faster clip than me but I fall off track a lot. I'm 50 pounds less than last summer and although I am more comfortable, I don't feel that great. I thought I would be down more but I learned that the band can't do everything for me. I still have to make better choices. I'm looking forward to next summer already and buying cute clothes and swimsuits then.

Congrats on doing so well!!

Wow Shalee you're doing so well. Can't wait to get down another size. You must have felt great on your break being so much slimmer!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
