Pix 4 Posted June 22, 2008 I am such a bad girl, I had been craving asian food for weeks, and my won ton Soup just wasn't cutting it. So I broke down and get the stuff to make some steamed veggie egg rolls. I have died on gone to heaven. I made 5 of them, gave the kids two each and I had one. HIT THE SPOT .. I steamed the veggies before I cooked the egg roll. Instead if deep frying it for two minutes I only had it in the fryer for 30 seconds because the veggies had been pre-cooked. Totally yummy! I need to figure out how to steam the egg roll itself so I don't have to put it in the oils ... Does anyone know how to make steamed egg rolls??????
FighterGirl 1 Posted June 22, 2008 There are several great recipes online for baked egg rolls that can give you the crispy texture like they were fried without the oil.

mphsmommy 0 Posted June 24, 2008 I too was gonna suggest baking them. They aren't AS good as fried, but so much better for ya. I make mine with just cooked cabbage and boiled chicken. YUM!!
Crishell 0 Posted June 24, 2008 I used to love them before my band. I tired one a few months ago and it was not pretty. Needless to say, egg rolls are now on my No Way List.
