If anyone have any advise to share, I would love to hear from you (i.e thing to take to hospital, what I will need as soon as I arrive home, and any other helpful thing I would need to know). I have alot of aniexty bluiding the closer it gets. Can some one help me with the trackers.

Don't be nervous! It will be soooo worth it in the end. Welcome to the forum.

For your ticker there are several threads on here about them just do a search for ticker.

Mine is from www.tickerfactory.com , just click on the length, put your info in and select your options. At the end there will be some text that comes up (computer language for the options you chose) copy that whole mess of text, come back to LBT, click on User CP, click on Edit your signature and paste it in. Good luck.

Try not to get too nervous. That is easier said than done.

My first advice is follow your doctors orders, especially the diet part. It is so hard post surgery (the first six weeks) to not eat anything solid, but follow whatever instructions he tells you to and don't be afraid to call them with questions.

As for items to have on hand. I used my heating pad - it did wonders for the gas pains I had post op. Get to moving when you feel comfortable. Some people start walking (and I mean a lot of walking as in exercise) right off the bat. I was slower to get to moving. Do what your body is telling you to do and don't over do too fast.

Depending on the "diet" the doctor puts you on, I'm assuming liquids, get some ahead of time. I hated broths, so would get chicken Soup and strain it (it tasted better). I had DH get me some egg drop Soup - which was divine! Popsicles and Jello also are good to have on hand. You probably won't want a lot after surgery, but it's good to have things on hand.

Take care of yourself. You'll probably be a lot gassier than you were before banded. Be prepared for that as well.

Welcome to the boards and I wish you the best.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
