Guest Leslie2Lose Posted June 18, 2008 There are only a few issues in life I have truly had to think about. #1 WLS #2 Moving out of my parents house at 22 #3 Buying a home #4 Getting my hair cut Why is #4 such a HARD decision? I have been growing out my hair for three years now and am not happy with it. I have a hair appointment tonight after work and I am torn on what to do. I always go in and she just trims it. I'm ready for something different. Easy to manage and Fun. I'm on the way to a whole new me - I think a new haircut would be awesome. Now what style? How short do I want to go? My hair is naturally curly. It would be great to put product in, blowdry and go. I fight the humidity so bad in south Georgia. My hair STAYS frizzy. Why do I have to make this so hard!? NukeChik 1 Posted June 18, 2008 I really trust my hairdresser. Everytime I go in I just tell her she has total creative freedom. Hasn't bit me yet... I would recommend going and getting one of those hair Styles mags and looking through it. Try to find something in there and see what your hair stylist thinks. I find a picture always helps! Guest Leslie2Lose Posted June 18, 2008 I'm gonna go for it. I mentioned to people at work today I'm getting it cut off today. Almost all say I love your hair the length it is...I've had this hair and style (other than cutting it short once before) my entire life. I'm ready for a change! My face is getting thinner and I think a short do will look good...if I don't like it, I can always grow it out again! :-) Thanks for your reply Nikki! luluc 6 Posted June 18, 2008 i say cut leslie~ 4months post op i chopped off 13+inches & donated to locks of love. since then my choppy bob gets shorter & shorter and i LOVE it - especially in this hot texas summer. my husband had a tad of heartburn me doing this - he loved my long auburn wavy locks - but they were just SO much and i realize i totally hid behind them as the weight packed on over the last 4yrs. enjoy your weightloss w/a new look - :smile2:
NukeChik 1 Posted June 18, 2008 I used to hide behind my hair too. I have a lot more options now that my face has slimmed down some! Good luck with your cut! I'm sure it will turn out awesome.:smile2:
Guest Leslie2Lose Posted June 18, 2008 Yea girls DH is going to have a COW! NukeChik 1 Posted June 18, 2008 Can't wait to see the pics!! My soon to be DH is actually what I consider the opposite of most men, he likes my hair short. Go figure?!..
Froggi 4 Posted June 18, 2008 I'm a bob girl...bobs look cute on me...I think you'd look good with a bob too :smile2:
Froggi 4 Posted June 18, 2008 im thinking of getting my hair cut shorter...it's a longer all around even bob right now...think i might go shorter in the back and make the front ends longer like an extreme bob again...dunno yet though...I might :smile2:
Froggi 4 Posted June 18, 2008 oh and I want some bangs again I dont look good without bangs I have a big ass forehead
Guest Leslie2Lose Posted June 18, 2008 I'm thinking about going with a Shaggy Bob actually. Something about chin level and choppy. That way I can go curly/wavy or blow dry it straight...either way it'll be easy to style. I can't wear it straight now - I can put tons of products in and it'll frizz or part will be straight and part will be curly. It takes WAY too long to style. Guest Leslie2Lose Posted June 18, 2008 oh and I want some bangs again I dont look good without bangs I have a big ass forehead I have a high forehead myself. I have bangs for all of two minutes while it is long - then I brush it back into my other hair...it's not worth the effort of trying to style them...they grow too fast. I can wear them with short hair - as long as they don't get into my eyes, that gets on my nerves. 90% of the time my hair is in a ponytail! lol

It takes WAY too long to style. that's pretty much my style. i have wavy hair - so the eintire cut is all done w/a razor so no blunt even'ness - very shaggy. back is shorter ; front comes down an angle below the chin. this works out so great if i want it wavy - no work; or straighten it out - takes 3 minutes.... btw - i swear i lost a lb or 2 after cutting the mop off:)
Guest Leslie2Lose Posted June 18, 2008 (edited) btw - i swear i lost a lb or 2 after cutting the mop off:) That's it! Decision made! If it'll take off 2 pounds, why not go pixie cut? maybe I could lose 3 pounds. :smile2: Edited June 18, 2008 by Leslie2Lose
