I'm back just in time to tell you that I LOVE your new look!!!

I got my haircut from ponytail to as short as yours on Sunday and while it was shocking at first, I'm starting to really like it.

YAY US!!!!! *hug*

Yay us! I can't wait to see your new haircut. Whenever you're ready, of course. The hair is so much fun. I still have to do a double take cause I don't recognize myself.

Hey, what's that thing in the middle of your body??? Hey, that's your waist! Great job, Honey. That's quite a cute shape you're developing! Love the hair! You look 20 years younger!

I've been struggling. I don't seem to be losing and it is, quite frankly, pissing me off. I couldn't be positive so I thought it best to keep to myself for a while.

Well I'm glad you're back. Don't feel like you have to put on a happy face to come here. We've all had times that we've felt like killing everyone around us, so we'll understand. Have you hit one of those damn plateaus or are you just having trouble doing the things you know you have to do to make it work? I've been pretty pissy this last week. Not only did I have to have surgery but I gained 6 pounds from it and had to take that off again. Just have one more to go and then I can start losing new pounds again. Been kind of in a "poor me" place but I think I've almost snapped out of it now.

I've been having trouble following the guidelines. It's my fault...which is why I'm sad. I just wanted to wallow in my own self descruction for a while apparently

But I will do better.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
