Does anyone use crystal light during the pre op diet?

I have another suggestion for something to flavor Water. It's called "True Lemon". It also comes in lime and orange. Check out the website: www.truelemon.com

It is made from crystallized juice and the oil from the peel. It comes in individual packets that will flavor 8 to 10 ounces of Water quite nicely, or you can buy a shaker of the lemon and lime, which I use to cook with...flavor veggies or meat.

There is no artificial sweeteners. It contains dextrose, citric acid, juice and oil, maltodextrin, and ascorbic acid.

0 calories, 0 carbs, 0 Protein, 0 fat, and they claim 0 sugar, but dextrose and maltodextrin are forms of sugar. Still one serving has less than 1 gram of carbs.

I also like Kellogg's Special K Protein powder.

Hi everyone,

I am on day 3 of pre-op liquiid diet and I just wanted to know if anyone knew if we could drink the Special K H20 Protein Water mix.

I drank one today and it was very filling. Just want to see if anyone has heard anything about this.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU! I JUST PRAY I CAN COMPLETE A WEEK ON MY DIET! I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO GET EASIER EVERY DAY BUT IT HASN'T YET! :cursing: HOPING IT WILL BY THE END OF THE WEEK! I GET MY BAND ON THE 28TH! CAN'T WAIT!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
