Bellablade 0 Posted June 17, 2008 Just thought I would say Hi before I start asking questions. So Hi. I have had my band in now for almost 4 years and to date I have lost 23 Kilos, still have 10-15 to go to get me to goal weight and have been at a plateau for over 12 months but I am not too concerned as I have not been eating very sensibly, so it is my own fault. I am now a size 14 and have reset goals for myself. I have two questions that I am hoping someone out there may have come across: I have over the past two years on several occasion has severe stomach/back paid, it is almost like someone is squeezing all my insides and won’t let go. I have tracked this and it only happens at night and after I have eaten. The past couple of days I have started to suffer from shoulder tip pain and don’t know why, anyone have any suggestions. I am still walking everyday and have been unable to walk it out.
plain 12 Posted June 18, 2008 I don't know, Bella. 4 years banded is a long time, and I'd think the odds of the band causing this would be pretty low, but just to be safe, you should probably consult your doc.
chubbs 0 Posted June 18, 2008 Hi There, I would be careful if I was you, shoulder tip pain is generally associated with pressure on the phrenic nerve, the one under the diaphram. It causes referred pain. You need to see a G.P or your surgen ASAP. Shoulder tip pain is one of the first things you get when you have advanced gallstones, appendicitis or ectopic pregnancy's. Dont want to scare you, just want to let you know that, if the pain is severe, it needs to be checked out. Good luck. Kez
