Hey everyone,

Just curious to see if anyone has had a Tummy Tuck and/or breast lift (mommy makeover) in Mexico? If so, how was it ?? the good the bad the ugly? What about cost? Do they pay for airfare and hotel?? Any and all info would be fantastic!

Thanks!

I have the same questions. I am about 90% sure I am going to go through with the TT this summer in Mexico. I have two different doctors I am looking into - one in Monteray and the other in Puerto Vallarta. If anyone out there has any experiences with this and would share, that would be great!

Right now I am leaning toward Dr. Saldana in Puerto Vallarta. I just need to confirm that my friend can go with me - definitely don't want to go alone!

Hi, I had surgery in Monterrey in March with Dr. Sauceda. I had tt, bl, BA, butt lift and Lipo of top part of tummy and abdomen. He does a lot of weight loss surgery patients and was very experienced in protecting the port.

You can see my pics and read my story if you are interested at: My Mexico Plastic Surgery Journey!

I have a lot of information about surgery in Mexico (this was my second time using Mexican surgeons with great success!!) including my blog of my trip while I was there and the recovery process on a day to day basis. I also included a frequently asked questions section that I get asked a lot of questions as well as information about Dr. Sauceda who is a board certified plastic surgeon. There is a link to his webpage that has a general price list as guidelines but everybody's situation and circumstances are different. HE WILL PAY YOUR AIRFARE AND HOTEL IF YOU SPEND MORE THAN $4,000!!! :tongue:Good luck to you!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
