I am glad you are at goal. But I am sorry what you are doing is not right. Laughing about food and making outrageous comments are ludicrous on this site. I see no humor is this attitude. I will stick with the posts that are legitimate and truly on here to help themselves and others. How fast you forget how you felt when you were first seeking help!

Cheryl

Oh for goodness sakes! If you want support then go to one of the gazillion support forums here on LBT. This is the LOUNGE~

Instead of slam dunking everyone that doesn't agree with you perhaps a better question would have been to ask the history behind the post.

Never mind reality, just keep insulting people.

Ahaha

Lets share 50 pizzas come on

Onnnly if the pizzas have pineapple on them! Long, stringy pineapple.

That's a fav!

Heh... with a sleeve *I* can eat them and bread. neener neener!

Okay, so like I can't eat them until I'm done with soft foods and ham, but when I'm done with soft foods and ham, *I* can have pineapple and bread. (cackle cackle)

That's a good idea. stick with the legitimate posts. We are enjoying being ludicrous. Don't knock it til you've tried it!

And we have not forgotten what it's like to seek help. We just don't happen to be seeking help at the moment. If you want to ask us a legitimate question, any one of us would be happy to answer if you are truly seeking help.

Hi everyone,

I started my new food Journal today. Its noon here in Sacramento and this is what I have written in it so far:

First thing in the morning: Starbucks Double shot caramel frappucino with full fat whip. Yeah, the big one.

Breakfast: Denny's Lumberjack slam. Ate every bite, scuse me - I was hungry!!

Early morning snack: After my nice two mile walk I was starving again so I had a two pack of Pop-Tarts. Yum!

Mid morning Snack: I figured I'd eaten alot already so I needed to be a good girl. I had a banana. Only 80 calories! Woohoo!

Lunch: I'm eating right now and I ordered in a nice healthy plate of Chinese food. I'm eating chicken chow mein, pork fried rice, sweet&sour pork and because that never seems to do the trick I bought an extra large wonton Soup. But, to be fair I did order some veggies too. I got some stir fry. Yeah!

Well, that's up until now. I'm doing great!

I think you should do what I do, add a couple of hams to each meal to get your Protein in. I don't think there is enough fat in there either. I'd add a couple of cups of olive oil, you know... the healthy kind.

Or, just use butter. It's good too.

Froggi is right, you'll poop like a champ!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
