Froggi 4 Posted June 16, 2008 (edited) So my doctor's office finally got ahold of the insurance about the testing they wanted me to do on top of everything else I had already done. Turns out I HAVE to do the pulminary and cardiology tests or they won't pay for my surgery...even though my nurse said I didn't need them. Oh well just 2 more hoops to freakin' jump through. I'm kind of tired of feeling like a dog in a competition for agility. But whatever. The office is on lunch now....so I'll call back after 1pm and try to make appointments. I hope there isn't anything else the insurance can pull out of a hat for me to do. sharona 2 Posted June 16, 2008 be glad their that thorough....its a safety net...you want to make sure that there aren't any hidden problems prior to surgery not during or after. I found out that I had severe sleep apnea which I didn't know about prior to the evaluation. Good luck to you and the time will fly and before you know it you'll be complaining that your not filled enough like the rest of us...!!!!hahahahah
sistasassy 6 Posted June 16, 2008 My insurance only needs a psych eval and a meeting with the nutritionist BUT my surgeon has a whole list a test he wants me to do...just like you. The only thing I do not have to do is the supervised diet. Still, it is hoop after hoop. Hang in there. It won't be long and you will be banded. Your time is coming quickly and then you can breathe a sigh of relief.
Froggi 4 Posted June 16, 2008 I can't breathe a sigh of relief until the surgery is actually done, blah thanks to this 6 month diet and having to have surgery before dec 31st before my insurance dies
