Furgie 0 Posted June 16, 2008 Hi, I am new to this site and will be having my lap-band surgery tomorrow in Hawkes' Bay, New Zealand. I have been reading this site for months now and have been greatly encouraged by everybody who has taken this step to a happier, healthier life. I am a bit nervous about the surgery but try to look past that and look towards a better lifestyle. 4th June - meeting with surgeon who advised surgery on 17th of June.(slight panic) 13.06.08 - meeting with anethatist(can't spell that one sorry) I have had a slight sore throat for a few days so have been worried i may not be able to have surgery, but dr assured me on friday as long as it doesn't go to my chest I should be ok. Pleased to be part of this group and will post again after op

Kathy JB 0 Posted June 16, 2008 Hi Furgie, Good luck with your surgery on Tuesday. We will be thinking of you all the way over there in New Zealand. I hope everything goes well for you. I was supposed to be banded on Thursday, but I'm still getting over bronchitis, and the doctor won't operate until there is no more cough. We've rescheduled for 3 July, and I'm hoping I'll be ready by then. Have a good day on Tuesday; it is the first day of your new life.
