Emrg - For Those Completely Unfilled

Recommended Posts

I have never experienced anything like this. It sounds like a heart attack. How old are you? Even if it corrected itself it could still have been a heart problem!

My suggestion on the underwear/slip thing... don't ever wear any at all and then you don't ever have to worry aobut whether they match or are ugly! Just remember to keep a clean shave! :)

There you go. I usally never wear a slip unless you can see through my dress. Just to much extra for me to put on..

I thought when you have a heart attack that you usually feel it on the left side of your body. The pain started on the right and stayed just on the right side of my front chest like right below and the middle of the boob area. I am just thankfull that it has not come back and everything seem to be ok.

The American Heart Association and other medical experts say the body likely will send one or more of these warning signals of a heart attack:

  • Uncomfortable pressure, fullness, squeezing or pain in the center of the chest lasting more than a few minutes.
  • Pain spreading to the shoulders, neck or arms. The pain may be mild to intense. It may feel like pressure, tightness, burning, or heavy weight. It may be located in the chest, upper abdomen, neck, jaw, or inside the arms or shoulders.
  • Chest discomfort with lightheadedness, fainting, sweating, nausea or shortness of breath.
  • Anxiety, nervousness and/or cold, sweaty skin.
  • Paleness or pallor.
  • Increased or irregular heart rate.
  • Feeling of impending doom.

Not all of these signs occur in every attack. Sometimes they go away and return. If some occur, get help fast. IF YOU NOTICE ONE OR MORE OF THESE SIGNS IN YOURSELF OR OTHERS, DON'T WAIT. CALL EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES (9-1-1) RIGHT AWAY! In the event of cardiopulmonary arrest (no breathing or pulse), call 9-1-1 and begin cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) immediately.

The actual diagnosis of a heart attack must be made by a doctor who has studied the results of several tests. The doctor may:

  • Review the patient's complete medical history.
  • Give a physical examination.
  • Use an electrocardiogram (or EKG) to discover any abnormalities caused by damage to the heart.
  • Use a blood test to detect abnormal levels of certain enzymes in the bloodstream.

Anyway making a appt with My PCP hopefully I can get in today or soon and she can run the test to see what is going on..

Other than that my band feels pretty good.

Thanks again I did not know it could be all the above with out being on the left side.

Please get in as soon as you can! Sometimes those start and stop things can be a warning. Most likely it isn't much, but it is always better to be safe than sorry! Please let us know what the doctor says. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Hugs!

Thank You Jenna for posting the heart symptoms that really got me moving. Oh yeah in the mean time need to stay away from fatty foods.

Gall Bladder? (spoken like my southern soft-spoken grandmother from Virginia) "Well, law! I'll be!"

Go figure! Gall bladder problems vs heart attack?...hmmm....gall bladder! Hope that's it and you have an answer for sure. I was worried!!! Just keep us posted.

I would take the gall bladder! :) Hopefully that is what it is and you will be back to normal. Gall bladder is famous for going bad after the surgery! Good luck, and keep us posted!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
