j.s. 0 Posted May 4, 2005 Margo, I really like Dr. Chiang. He is very nice and I feel he is a very competent doc. Every time I see him I like him more. I also met Dr. Burhop, he discharged me from the hospital. He is very nice as well. I did not feel at all uncomfortable having him examine me when I never met him before. Very nice docs. I like them both and would recommend them. Their office girls are also very helpful. I have nothing negative at all to say about them. p.s. my inlaws live in sussex. js
Margo 0 Posted May 5, 2005 js Wow, that is good news.....I spoke with Dr. Prewitt in Menomonee Falls...very, very nice man, but has not done a band yet, only RNY. He suggested I talk to Drs. Chiang and Burhop. My appointment is Tuesday....what can you tell me about the first consult visit? (so, your in-laws live in Sussex...small world isn't?! What area do you live in?) j.s. 0 Posted May 6, 2005 Margo, Did you get that packet of stuff to fill out? From what I remember my first visit there was going over that packet of stuff in detail with the nurse. spent probably a good 45 minutes with her. (I had no comorbidities but extensive family history) so we went over that stuff. Had my pic taken (nobody told me that would happen) got weighed. She gave me the numbers of all the appointments I had to make and who to contact to make those. Then Dr. C came in and he went over both surgeries in complete detail and we discussed pros and cons of each. Then he pushed on my guts for a while. Addressed any concerns I had and questions were answered and that was about it. Not scary by any means. Make sure you have your list of questions for him so you remember them. js
