Friends now instead of Reps? How????

Recommended Posts

I am so right brained!!!!! OK so now we've switched from reps to friends, but I still can't figure out how to request a friend. Do you need an email address? That's what it asks for every time I try to do it. Someone explain to this girl, thanks brandyII.:confused2:

Hey BrandyII! Go to Edit Profile, then on the left side there is a Contacts & Friends link. Then type in someone's name and check either Contact or Friend button. I just added you as a friend!

It lists you as my friend! The box to add contacts/friends pops up after you click the Contacts & Friends link under Networking

I think the friend thing is just as stupid as the rep...lets see who is more popular with more friends now instead of who has a higher rep!!! :| *grunts*

I HATE FRIENDS. I WANT MY REPS BACK. Being fat I think everyone can relate to the terrible feeling one has when they have "no friends" The big fat "O" takes me back to that old feeling. I am thinking of leaving this site and not recommending it anymore. And by the way, I do have friends but for somereason they don't show.

It doesn't matter. Why show up peole that don't have friends. Push our faces in the mud one more time.

I don't like the friends thing either, but I didn't like rep either. They can leave it blank for me dangit...it's depressing. It should be something more motivating like starting weight and current weight etc :)

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
