I got my band on Jan 24, 2008- things have been going pretty well until now. On Monday I got my 5th fill. Since then I have only been able to keep liquids (coffee and Protein drinks) down. I went to a Mexican restaurant on Wed with my son and just ate the cheese sauce off the enchiliada - right to the bathroom to throw everything up. Anything I try to eat comes up in matter of minutes - it is like it just stays in my throat / chest area. What am I doing wrong???? It is very frustrating!

You could be too tight, if you just ate cheese sauce and it came up that's what I would be thinking, I mean its not really chewing so you would think it would be ok but it definetly sounds like your too tight maybe ring your surgeons nurse and see what they think? Usually they can take out like 1/2cc to help and even though it's only a little bit it definetly helps

Yup, it sounds like you are too tight. I think that you should call your MD for maybe a small "unfill". SS

Ok, so if I just deal with the liquids for a while, how long will it take to become "untight". Just really don't want to get a un-fill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It can take up to 2 weeks. If you can't hold down liquids then you are too tight. If you move to a mushie stage and don't PB you can stick to a softer diet. Ideally you want to be on solids but a softer diet is okay if you wish per my surgeon. Good luck to you.
