Steatosis...Fatty liver disease

Recommended Posts

I just came home from waiting 2+ hours to see the doctor for less than 10min. I went to talk about my fatigue and is it caused by the Steatosis. He said no, and that I MUST lose weight. I told him I had the lap band and that I have lost 11 pounds so far. He said that was fine. He wants to rule out thyroid and hepatitus. Is anyone else really tired? I have found the 5 hour energy drink the one made from B12 Vitamins has helped a lot. O yeah, I have to excersise at least an hour everyday. I've worked up to 15 min on the bike next will be 30 and I must double my resting heart rate.

Considering the heart rate of most overweight people is already high and probably well over 70, if not 80, doubling that is pretty intense exercise!

Energy, well, I had none when I was fat and somedays I still cant believe how I can keep going and going.

It does get easier, significant weight loss will really decrease the work you're doing just carrying yourself around.

What are you eating every day? How many calories, how much Protein, are you eating a lot of carbohydrates, are you taking a Vitamin supplement daily?

I can tell you that what I am eating has a lot to do with my energy level. Diet may not be the full answer but it may possibly shed some light on the fatigue. A few small changes can sometimes increase energy and weight loss at the same time.

Exercising an hour every day will definitely make a difference as well. It may seem counter-intuitive in that if you are tired, exercise shouldn't make you less tired . . . but it does indeed seem to work that way.

I eat at least 80 grams of Protein a day in the form of soy. I have little or no processed carbohydrates. I am working in 1 hour or exercise. I tried to do it all in one hour yesterday and felt as if my heart was busting from my chest. I was able to get my heary rate up to 140 in 10 min but had to stop. I did accomplish one hour if I added up all the dedicated time to exercise. I've started taking the 5 hour energy drink that is full of B12 and niacin. It has helped my energy level a lot. I may have lost only 15 pounds but have definately gone down 1 whole size.

Most of my weight is around my middle below my belly bottom and stops where my legs start. I wish I could just suck that right out of my body!
