sleep apnea and cpap after surgery

Hi, I was banded on April 25, 05. I have sleep apnea and use a cpap machine. Last night I woke with terrible pain in my chest and back. It felt like air. I figure I swallow some air when I'm on the cpap. (Before the surgery everytime I get up in the night, I would burp loudly).

Any suggestions from anyone on how to decrease this side effect?
