Oh....excuse me!

Ezma, I have to admit - it's pretty nice. I've got so many people calling me "skinny" now - which I'm clearly not! It feels good though, it makes me acknowledge all my hard work.

However there is a down side... I feel like I have to work twice as hard now just to lose a couple pounds. I swear, I went up and down between 239 and 236.5 for a total of nine days. Finally this morning I was 234.5!! I felt like I won a gold medal or something... Weird, I don't remember having gone through this much weirdness every other time I lost weight. Well, I guess it will be worth it in the end because that will be weight never to be seen again!

Ok, I could go on forever -- so I'll end this now.

I have never burped as much as I have since WLS. Really long loud manly burps too. Seems to me that it is after I have eaten when the last of the food is going down, I feel like I could burp for England. I use it as an indicator of how long it takes for the food to pass through the pouch.

Only problem is that now I am used to it, i forget that other peole might be offended and sometimes forget to hide it.

That is embarrassing!

Hmmm... try this on for size.

So, I get my next fill today - thank goodness - well, as I'm walking back to my car, I let out a huge belch! I think some lady in the parking lot heard me, and watches me as I grab my stomach. In fact I have been belching ever since...

He only gave me .3, but I can feel it. Now I'm up to 2.8 in a 10cc.

Holy, moly! That's weird. I'm at 7.5 cc in a 10cc band. My doctor put in 5cc during surgery. I didn't feel like the band was much help at all until I hit 7cc. I know everyone is different, but I'm amazed at your success with such a little fill.

Not much burping, but hiccuping...oh yes. Especially if I eat too fast. But usually when I start hiccuping, it's a sign that it's time to stop eating.

Well, things have been going pretty slow for me. In fact I really should update my tickers. Come to find out my new scale under estimates by six lbs. I'm over the shock. I went back to my old scale and I count down four pounds. No way am I counting UP!!

I normally don't fix my tickers to go up if I'm going through a little gaining spell, but this is different. :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
