gone 4 ever 6 Posted June 10, 2008 I have not had a fill yet. so here is my delema....I feel as if I have something stuck this morning...Last night I had chicken&rice. Felt fine. woke up this morning, drank Water and felt kinda funny like I would imagine Water going around rocks. But I did'nt think a whole lot about it. Tried to drink my protien shake and my chest tightened and I started coughing a strange cough and started trying to spit up. I finally spit out water and Protein drink. So I have fixed myself some hot tea. I hope this works. It seems like it is going down alright. anyone else with this? Thanks
MaidMarion 1 Posted June 10, 2008 My surgeon told me I would have to get over my love of sushi because rice is a problem food for most people forever. Now mind you sushi rice is sticky rice but my guess is you have a ball of rice down there. It will either break-up with the hot tea or it will come up. Mind you I am just speculating. Hope your tea is the cure-all for you.
Cari 0 Posted June 10, 2008 Sounds like the rice is stuck. I was told by my nutrionist NO RICE at all for 3 months after the banding. Drink pineapple juice, always works for me. It will either disolve what is stuck, or you will bring it up. Good Luck!
gone 4 ever 6 Posted June 10, 2008 Carri thank you for your suggestion about pineapple juice. Unfortunetly I am allergic to pineapples. The hot tea seems to have helped some. I have drank 2 cups so far.
gilliebean 1 Posted June 10, 2008 also try standing with you head toward your toes it helps to move what ever is stuck so you can either spit it up or get it down thats what i do and i am never stuck more then 5 minutes
Brandy~ 2 Posted June 10, 2008 Sounds exactly like what happens to me with sushi... I have actually laid on a bean bag or a bed on my back and hung off the side when all else fails, let gravity help.
