YoungNy 1 Posted June 10, 2008 How long did it take for your wounds to heal? Mine hurt less and less everyday, but are still mostly raw.
Sarah.R 2 Posted June 10, 2008 It depends on everyone, theres a thread on here labelled scars, not sure where exactly and it shows some peoples scars after a year - most aren't too bad - Personally I have 4 scars from a lung biopsy that I had in July last year and there still pretty pink but I also never put any Vitamin E cream on them and I take ages to heal -Overall healing of the actual surgery site shouldnt take longer than a month or two. NukeChik 1 Posted June 10, 2008 It depends on a number of things... A biggie is Protein intake. Your body has to have protein to heal itself. This was a real problem for me my first week post op. I did not consume much protein at all and my incisions healed verrrryyy slooowwwly. When I moved on to full liquids though they started healing well. It took about a month for my incisions to be fully healed (no scabs). Hope that helps!
