Jodi_620 37 Posted June 9, 2008 Are you using GasX? If not, get the disolving strips that you put on your tongue, they come in mint flavor and cinnamon.

HeatherO 7 Posted June 9, 2008 Walking and Gas-x indeed help. Even with those, they help to take the edge off, but it does not eliminate everything. For me everything got a little louder but it is not so bad now at 5 months out. However, it I am hungry and drink something cold, I can feel and hear it gurgling all the way through :0)
HappyMamma 16 Posted June 9, 2008 My Mom took care of me and she gave me GINGER Tea which got rid of all my gas pain in 3 days. I swear by it! You can buy the ginger tea or you can make your own just buying the fresh ginger at the supermarket, peel a little bit and pour some Water to boil with it, let it cool and drink slow.....you will be burping all that gas... Also, going slow up and down stairs helps a lot as well as massage on your back like you do to a little baby...That helped a lot.... Take care and let us know,
jessbychurch 0 Posted June 9, 2008 Thanks for all the help and advice!!! Today was day Day 3 and boy what a difference a day makes. Things were a little easier today and I hope that it just gets better as the days progress. I am going to post another thread (if many of you don't mind giving your wonderful advice - I just didnt' want to combine a thread in a thread, if you know what I mean)... I think I live by this group, now!!!! Jess:thumbup:
Aphrodite1984 2 Posted June 9, 2008 It took me about 2 weeks for the really painful gas to subside. You will start to feel better every day...I promise. I am feeling great now!
bandedbyrd 0 Posted June 10, 2008 June 6th was also my day... I have terrible gas in my shoulder but what's worse is the feeling in my stomach. I know my lower belly must be full of air!!! It's so painful and uncomfortable but the times that I do burp are such a relief. I hope that's all it is! It just feels trapped and I know it's trying to work through the band. I think I know how a baby with colic feels!:confused2: Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!! ~thinsoon
aimerus 0 Posted June 10, 2008 I hear ya... I had surgery June 5 and I was not aware that my body could make such noises. Walking and Gas-X has helped some.
Hastings 3 Posted June 10, 2008 The gas is actually in your abdominal cavity, not your digestive tract. I used a yoga position called Downward Facing Dog. Beginner Yoga Pose: Downward Dog on Flickr - Photo Sharing! Of course I had to modify it by standing and then resting my forearms on a footstool. The results encourage the gas to move away from your shoulder.
MSBoss08 0 Posted June 10, 2008 I would also like to add Maalox to the list of suggestions. Make sure that it has simethicone listed in the ingredients.
