Exactly Froggie! When I met him he couldn't boil and egg or even know how to run the washing machine, his mom did EVERYTHING for him. Seeing that I am anti-domestic, he had a huge culture shock when we got married. He's gotten used to me, although we still drive each other nutz. I am a type "A" almost to the point of being compulsive and he is the exact opposite.

I am sort of compulsive with certain things. But with some I am lazy and sloppy.

Omg this is off topic but I burned myself the other day on a countertop grill and it was just a mark and this happened like 4 days ago and now it had a blister and I wasnt sure if it was poofy or not and i was poking it and it just popped and got stuff on my face and lips..ewwy ><

Ewww - that sounds like a nasty burn. I had a pressure cooker literally blow up on me one time. I was burned on my neck hands and face from the food bits. I was about 18 at the time. To this day I won't cook with one. I'll stick to the crockpot and let time cook it slowly.

it wasny even too bad of a burn dunno why it blistered

but several months ago I was using the can of air stuff you use to clean keyboards and stuff.

Well i was putting the straw in it to clean my keyboard and I slipped and the can sprayed my arm.

I felt my arm go numb and sooooooooooooooooooooo cold about a 4 to 5 inch section got sprayed.

I felt this really really tight feeling and my arm just stayed really cold.

Then it started to burn and itch and crap

after that it turned BRIGHT red

little while later i had hugeeeeeeeeee blisters all over that section and some were really bad

Turned out that can of air gave me third degree burns on my arm.

It literally froze skin/off my arm

I have a nice big scar from it but its not so noticable really, it just looks like a big blotch on my arm thats a lighter skin color. hehe

But omg did it hurt and it took forever to heal

damn cans of air

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
