keving 0 Posted July 16, 2008 Hi I was banded on the 10th June by him, nice guy. He informed me that it was touch and go as to whether he did the operation as when he went inside me he found a very large hiatial hernia, he fixed it and banded me. So I have a lot to thank him for. I wondered why I was regulary sick during the middle of the night, I thought it was just indegestion. hope all goers well
Vixon 0 Posted July 17, 2008 Ohhhh I have a small hiatial hernia, had an endosopy to confirm a few years back but was told it wasn't worth operating to fix it. from what I had read a small one shouldn't effect surgery so I wasn't too worried unless it had increased in size over last 2 years but this is helpful to know tyvm another minor worry allayed by this forum. BTW - was there an extra charge for the repair after the op?
