"eating around the band"

Recommended Posts

In my opinion, eating something healthy is not eating around the band. They refer to that term when people are gaining weight, or not losing weight.

Cottage cheese, yogurt, low fat cheese are all healthy foods. They might not stick with you for very long, but if you aren't constantly hungry and picking at junk food, like chips, it's really not a problem. I have cottage cheese and almonds. I have to eat things that I like and sometimes food just doesn't even sound good cause I am never hungry.

I think if you eat yogurt, cottage cheese ect A LOT that could be eating around the band. Because its "easy" it goes down easy . to me eating around the band is liquid Proteins , " easy " foods that slide down . Foods that do not require work , and that can mean yogurts , Protein Shakes, BUT I think it depends if your "Abusing" Them or not for lack of a better word.

My doc allows me my Protein Shake in the am and that is IT . Except after fills. He would not want me drinking them 2, 3 times a day . I guess it all depends on how you look at it ? Interprut it ?
