I think it was as much to have a place for women cause men have one, and a place to post about menstruation and tampons etc. and the men could avoid if they wanted to.

It's no big deal.

I dunno, my therapist told me I have issues with men, I don't know if it's that or I am just younger and thinking about men viewing these things and maybe enjoying some of it etc bothers me.

I have a pretty bad past with men, not just relationships either, I guess that has something to do with it.

Sorry for being so immature, I guess.

It's not being immature.. It's almost like writing in your diary and u don't want people to look in it... There is nothing wrong with that... somethings should be kept private, but thats how they can learn more about us as well... If u want to know about how and why men run game on women just ask another guy they will tell it all... lol..:incazzato:

It personally doesn't bother me in the slightest. As I feel the guys who aren't affraid of reading and or posting on womens issues are the kind of guys the world needs more of!! I prefer my man to be comfortable enough in his own masculinity that he can also be comfortable with my feminity. If that makes sense.

Guys viewing our "girly" threads doesn't bother me. I think it is pure curiosity. They want to figure out what makes us tick.

If you want to start a "private" area you can start a Social Group that is only viewable to members only. That way the only way to view is to be an actual member. Just a thought.

It could be accidental too. I am here every day so I do a search for new posts. In the past, I never looked all the way over to the right to see what category the post falls under so it would be easy to accidentally post in one of the men's areas. I accidentally did post in one of their categories (re: what everyone's career was) and as soon as I realized it was for men only, I deleted my post. Now, I try to pay attention to what category the post is listed under.

I purposely avoid the men's thread because...I'M NOT A MAN!!! Where I realize and even appreciate that they have a curiousity about what is discussed here, I don't share that curiousity when it comes to what they are talking about. To each her (or his) own I guess.

Let them look! Like some of you said, maybe they will learn something!

Personally, I told my husband some of it because he wondered what I was laughing at. He actually is glad for you guys and the support I have from you. You know, he's glad not to have to deal with it all. He's always glad when I don't have to only depend on him, although he is there for me. I have just learned after 12 years of marriage, how much he can handle. I am blessed to have you guys!

And don't forget, chances are, we will never meet these men. I haven't gone into their room, yet. When I have time, I want to. I can't imagine it being as cool and supportive as ours! :) Barb

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
